Experiment 4: AI Assisted Teaching Preparation for Chinese Language Lessons

One of the common challenges at Chinese language schools in the USA is developing up-to-date teaching materials, which often results in teachers spending a long time preparing for Chinese language lessons. Our AI Experiment 4 focuses on training teachers to use the BoardX board and AI agents to accelerate the preparation of more engaging, interactive, and effective lessons.

Workshop #1: Grand Rapids Chinese Language School

On November 10, 2024, we held the first workshop for AI Experiment 4, aimed at teachers with varying levels of AI experience, including those who have used ChatGPT and those with no AI experience. The teachers were excited to learn about the BoardX board features for creating a shared workspace, along with the embedded AI tools and agents.

Workshop #2: Kalamazoo Chinese Language School

On Nov 17, 2024, we held another workshop with the Kalamazoo Chinese Language School. Wenlong Zhang, Xiaodan Zhang, Yong Xu and Usam from BoardX facilitated the workshop, which introduced the major features and AI chains of our platform. The teachers of the School, were keen to learn and practice with these tools, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Educators expressed enthusiasm about integrating AI into their teaching processes, marking a successful addition to our pilot program.

BoardX Supports Education- More Workshops

As we look forward, our next steps include scheduling a training session for the Ann Arbor Chinese Language School. We're also coordinating a workshop with the Chinese Language School Association in Michigan on December 7th. This event will engage principals and board directors to discuss collaborative approaches to overcoming challenges faced by Chinese language schools in the U.S. In order to prepare the workshop for Dec 7th, we created a few articles to summarize our Chinese School Workshop in 2023, and the board director gave a nice quote, take a look at this link: https://www.boardx.us/tag/cls/ , these articles will be also shared to the new workshop participants.

💡
Volunteering at these workshops offers a great opportunity to practice using BoardX and AI tools while assisting teachers. If you're interested in helping out, please contact us at support@boardx.us.

Update of AI Image Tools

Recently, we switched to the latest Image Generating engine Stable Diffusion 3.5, a lot more powerful to generate beautiful images. This switch has impacted some of our AI image generation results, as the prompting rules were changed in the new engine. We are making effort to continuously improve the AI image tools. Please give a try on board, share good use cases or let us know if you have any problems.
